Reservation, Deposit, Cancellation and Refund Information


Please read these terms and conditions. When you make a deposit or final payment to SeaEurope Holidays or one of its' suppliers, you have agreed to these terms and conditions.

SeaEurope Holidays Inc., herein known as “SEH” , is acting as Agent for the various suppliers of services (including DFDS Seaways, Silja Line, Color Line, Fjord Line, Tallink, SuperFast Ferries) and accommodations published on our web sites and as such our liability is limited to that of an Agent.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT INFORMATION: Checks, Money Orders, PayPal, American Express, Visa and Master Card are accepted as forms of payment. Reservations can be made up to 2 days prior to departure, subject to availability. Whenever terms pertaining to a specific supplier are omitted, the following conditions apply:
1 -All reservations are subject to a non refundable $20 handling fee.
2 -Arrangements 4 days or longer require a 25% deposit upon booking and full payment 8 weeks prior to departure.
3 -All other arrangements require full payment immediately. Full payment is required before reservations are considered complete and documents can be issued by SEH. Confirmed travel arrangements left unpaid, beyond 72 hours, will automatically be canceled. Credit cards

In the event a dispute arises between the parties to this agreement, after a credit card deposit or final payment has been made the client hereby agrees not to institute any chargeback’s against any credit card payments rendered to pay for any services or products to be provided by or already provided by SEH. For terms regarding the use of PayPal, see paragraphs at the end of these terms and conditions.

CHANGE FEE INFORMATION: A fee of minimum $25 per transaction will be charged for any alterations or revisions to original reservations once SEH has issued a written confirmation or invoice; In addition, charges incurred from hotel or airline are also payable. For changes once tickets/vouchers have been issued, a minimum $50 per transaction fee, plus charges incurred from confirmed hotels, airlines, or suppliers will apply.

AIR TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT INFORMATION: When issued by SEH, air travel, unless otherwise specified, is based on coach class scheduled IATAN carrier service. All fares are subject to change without notice and are non refundable. Reservations and ticket usage are restricted. Consequently, reissues, exchanges, rerouting and refunds may not be possible, or the passenger may be assessed additional charges by the airline. Not included in the quoted fares are international departure Color Linetaxes and fees, foreign departure taxes and Passenger Facility Charges. Gratuities, except as noted, items of a personal nature, baggage handling and items not specified as being included.

DOCUMENT INFORMATION: Every effort is made to have all travel documents in the hands of the passenger before departure from the United States. In most cases, documents can be sent by email. (Please be sure that this e-mail address is not filtered, marked for spam, or forwarded into junk e-mail categories. Doing so will prevent you from receiving your confirmation.)

In some cases, circumstances dictate that documents be issued and await the passenger at a hotel or terminal abroad. In cases of last minute bookings, or where special mail service is requested, the passenger is responsible for the cost of this special mail service. For bookings made 30 days or less before departure, a special mail service charge will be added to ensure timely delivery.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE/HANDLING INFORMATION: Contact the participating airline/cruise line for specific details regarding their baggage allowance regulations. Luggage is the passenger's responsibility throughout, and if it is lost or damaged while in the custody of the airline, motor coach company, or hotel, it is not the responsibility of SEH, the tour operator or the selling agent. HOTEL INFORMATION: Every effort will be made to reserve the hotels listed in itineraries. Where, for whatever reason, accommodations are not available, similar type accommodations will be reserved. For hotels booked independent of a tour, the following cancellation fees apply: Cancel from 60 to 30 days prior - 10% of total cost, 29-7 days prior – 50%, 6-0 days prior – NO REFUND.

SEH'S HOTEL VOUCHER PROGRAM, CAR PROGRAMS AND CITY SIGHTSEEING PACKAGE INFORMATION: Are non refundable once documents have been issued, regardless of reason for cancellation, unless noted elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.

SEH'S TOUR PACKAGE INFORMATION: Prices are per person, based on double occupancy and include transatlantic airfare to/from cities as listed in the itinerary. Air seats are capacity controlled and should space not be available in the designated class of service we will be pleased to request space in another class at a supplemental cost. Single rooms are available at an additional cost. Hotels are based on availability at the time of booking. No refund will be granted for unused hotel nights. All rooms are “run of the house”. If a deviation from the scheduled program is requested and can be accommodated, there will be a fee of $50 per person. Deviations are not possible for all programs and are subject to availability.

SEH'S TOUR CANCELLATION/REFUND INFORMATION: Refunds can never be issued without unused documents. SEH accepts no liability for lost tickets, nor are they replaceable. Documents issued by SEH can only be processed for refund through SEH. Cancellation fees for tours are assessed as a percentage of the total tour price or a minimum of 40USD per person, whichever is greater. Car HotelFor cancellations which occur up to 40 days prior to departure – 30% cancellation fee; from 40 to 31 days prior to departure – 50% cancellation fee; from 30-16 days prior to departure – 75% cancellation fee; from 15-0 days prior to departure – 100% cancellation fee. Non-Refundable fees include all handling/service fees, express mail fees, seat reservations for train tickets, supplements and any specialty reservations.

NO REFUNDS for No-shows or unused portions of air, rail tickets, tourist passes or cruises. All cancellations and requests for refunds have to be submitted in writing. SEH strongly recommends that passengers purchase Cancellation Fee Waiver insurance (see below) or other type of travel insurance to protect against such losses.

DFDS SEAWAYS, COLOR LINE, FJORD LINE, TALLINK, SUPERFAST FERRIES and SILJA LINE RESERVATION INFORMATION: Full payment is required in order to hold confirmed accommodations. All reservations are subject to a non refundable $20 handling fee. A $20 fee will be charged for north sea ferry, european cruiseschanges on confirmed reservations. A $50 fee will be charged for changes once tickets/vouchers have been issued. If reservation is changed to a lessor value than the original booking, an additional fee applies equaling 10% of the booking total.

All reduced fares and discounts (i.e. children, senior, student discounts) must be ordered by the client prior to documents being issued. No discounts/refunds will be applicable once documents are issued.

All service fees, express mail fees and change fees are 100% nonrefundable.

SILJA LINE, FJORD LINE, TALLINK, SUPERFAST FERRIES - CANCELLATION AND REFUND INFORMATION: For cancellations which occur up to 3 businesnorth sea ferry, european cruisess days prior to sailing - cancel fee is 25% of the total amount or a minimum of USD 40 per person, per way. From 3-0 days - cancel fee is 100% of the total. No refunds are applicable once this document has been exchanged and boarding cards have been claimed. No refunds for no-shows. For cancellations occurring abroad and/or refunds applied for after the scheduled sailing date: Passage is NOT REFUNDABLE unless stamped with a cancellation endorsement dated prior to the scheduled sailing date by the Silja Line office abroad. No refunds for lost tickets/vouchers. Refunds will not be issued without the unused documents. Documents issued through SeaEurope Holidays Inc. can only be processed for refund through SeaEurope Holidays Inc.

DFDS SEAWAYS CANCELLATION AND REFUND INFORMATION: For all DFDS Seaways bookings, cancellation fees are as follows: full or partial cancellations occurring up to 40 prior to sailing will result in a fee of 10% of the total fare, minimum 50USD; full or partial cancellations from 40 to 15 days prior to sailing will result in a fee of 50% of total fare, minimum 50USD; full or partial cancellations from 14 to 3 days prior to sailing will result in a fee of 75% of total fare, minimum 50USD. On ALL DFDS Seaways routes, if cancellation occurs within 3 business days prior to sailing the cancellation penalty is 100% of the total fare. The SeaEurope Holidays office must have written notice of cancellation, accompanied by the DFDS Seaways travel documents at least 72 business hours prior to scheduled departure of the vessel. If the cancellation is not made in accordance with the above terms, 100% of all monies paid will be assessed as cancellation penalty regardless of resale or time frames. TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION: SEH strongly recommends that all clients insure their vacation against unexpected expenses incurred as a result of damage, or theft of luggage or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident or illness. It is important for your own self interest and protection that you make certain you have adequate insurance. Check with your insurance agent or travel agent for additional coverage.

PASSPORTS AND VISA INFORMATION: Each passenger is responsible for securing a valid passport and visas when required. SEH assumes no responsibility for non-passage due to lack of, improper or expired visas or passports. Clients must possess a valid passport with an expiration date of at least 6 months after scheduled departure from Europe. See Passport page elsewhere on this web site for putchasing and renewing passports.

RESPONSIBILITY: SEH shall be responsible to the passenger for supplying the services set forth in this brochure, except to the extent such service cannot be supplied due to causes beyond the control of SEH in which case SEH will use its best efforts to supply comparable services. SEH shall have no liability to the passenger for the quality of services and the condition of cleanliness at hotels, onboard vessels etc., or for any transportation delay, including but not limited to liability for inconvenience, shortened vacation time or additional expenses. SEH and/or their agents declare all tickets, vouchers, and coupons issued by them and all arrangements for transport, accommodations made by them are made upon the express conditions that they shall not be liable for any accident, injury, property damage or personal loss in connection with any travel service or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, acts of terrorism, defects in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, changes in itinerary or schedules, or through the act of default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or carrying out the arrangements of the tour or otherwise in connection therewith or of any hotel proprietor or employee. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger. The right is retained to decline, accept or retain any person as member of the tour or to cancel or alter the tour. Airline/IATA carriers, and transportation companies whose services are features in these tours are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers contract in use by the companies when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the companies and the purchaser. The full or partial payment for a reservation constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions and general information contained in this document. The terms under which passengers agree to use the services contained in this brochure cannot be changed or amended except in writing signed by an authorized officer of SEH.
